The origin story

Teaching for many years gave me a masterclass in observing human behavior (adolescent behavior is truly a wonder to behold) and showed me that strong communities make the happiest people. Those communities are often built around local businesses. It is where memories are made, friendships take root, and that feeling of belonging is ignited.

Why design

More recently, I have been using all that behavioral observation data in a new realm: design. A lot of my days are spent learning digital tools and, yes, talking with AI assistants. But here is what I have realized: the more I work with automated systems, the more I value real human connection. It is why I will always ask the automated service for a representative. It is why walking into a locally-owned business and saying hi to your favorite barista is worth the extra two dollars over.

I love local businesses, I love designing, and my analytical mind will not let me stop creating solutions to problems.

What I bring to the table

My background in education taught me to listen deeply, ask the right questions, and break down complex challenges into clear, actionable steps. These skills translate perfectly to guiding clients through branding and design decisions.

Where the inspiration comes from

I draw design inspiration from two places: Colorado's natural landscapes (clean geometry, organic patterns, the way mountains guide your eye) and hands-on problem-solving like renovating a vintage Airstream with curved walls, where every measurement is a puzzle and every decision demands strategic thinking.

The ask

So please, let me help your small business flourish. It is as much for you as it is for me. Otherwise I will end up with another vintage Airstream in my backyard, knee-deep in insulation.

I'm passionate about supporting the makers, artists, and entrepreneurs who make Colorado communities interesting. You deserve thoughtful strategy and design that works as hard as you do.
